Vlaardingen locks protecting the Port of Rotterdam
The Dutch Delta is protected by a revolutionary storm surge barrier: the Maeslantkering. But due to climate change, sea levels are rising and storms will occur more often. Coastal Engineers are warning the barrier should be replaced by locks. Commissioned by the Museum of Vlaardingen, we visualized this ambitious plan.

Animatie Filmfonds Jaarverslag 2015
Het jaar 2015 stond voor het Filmfonds in belangrijke mate in het teken van het internationale beleid, en vormde de opmaat naar het nieuwe beleidsplan voor de periode 2017-2020. Chantal van Wessel maakte een visuele samenvatting van het Jaarverslag.
Delta Flume: ‘world’s biggest manmade wave’
The Delta Flume built by Deltares in Delft, The Netherlands is a unique facility to test at full scale the effect of extreme waves on dikes, dunes or breakwaters. The Delta Flume (300 metres long, 9.5 metres deep and 5 metres wide) is a versatile, indispensable facility that can be used for numerous projects. The 10-metre-high wave board generates waves up to 4.5 meters. Vizualism animated the Delta Flume and designed the infographics for their corporate magazine.
VPRO interactive ‘Waarom Srebrenica moest vallen’
Had de internationale gemeenschap de verovering van de moslimenclave Srebrenica en de moord op de meer dan 8000 moslimmannen door Bosnisch-Servische troepen kunnen voorkomen? Twintig jaar na dato ging een team van Argos (Human/VPRO) opnieuw op onderzoek uit, stuitte op nieuwe feiten en maakte er een onthullende (online) documentaire van.

Deltares: Adaptive cities through innovative design
Today, 54% of the world’s population lives in urban areas (UN), a proportion that is expected to increase to 66% by 2050. These cities are not only challenged by expanding population, but also climate change, soil subsidence and disruptive development. At AquaConsoil in Copenhagen, Deltares presented its solutions for a resilient city. Vizualism designed the leaflet and developed a short animation.
